Hi there! My name is Tami Barrows, here is a little bit about myself. I'm a mother of 2 wonderful children. I was born and raised right here in the southern tier region of NY state. I have a background in fine art, graphic design, web design and photography. I went to Cazenovia College and Mohawk Valley Community College for Graphic Design, with classes in photography.

I've been designing web sites and print media since 1999. For several years I commissioned pet portrait drawings for loving pet owners. In 2006 my life-long dream of becoming a professional photographer became a reality when I went pro with Nikon DSLR equipment. I spent a year learning the camera and building my portfolio.

In 2007 I formed Creative Life Imagery, Photography & Design, and opened a studio in Sidney, NY.

My favorite part of being a photographer is capturing life the way I see it and sharing that vision with others. The same goes for any of my work. I love the look on a person's face when I show them what I've captured. Making people happy is one of the greatest rewards. It's a feeling I really can't describe.

My best work does not come straight out of my camera. Each one of my images goes through complex digital processing. This is where the graphic and digital design experience comes into play. It can be the difference between ordinary photos and extraordinary photos. I take great pride in photography that in the end, is also a piece of art.

I consider myself new in this business. I'm still building my experience and trying new things. Building my portfolio, and learning. I'm more than a photographer, I'm an artist.

I recently decided to break into the wedding photography market in fall of 2008 after the arrival of my second baby. There are some magnificent photographs to be taken on this special day. I have so many ideas and images that I would like to share, to bring the most beautiful and breath taking moments to life so that they can be cherished forever.
