Last week I asked a friend of mine (Brenda) to model for me in her wedding dress so that I could have the experience. Some of you may or may not know that I only just decided to get into the wedding market last fall after the birth of my daughter, and many requests from people everywhere. I’ve done two weddings so far and I have a few booked for this summer, but I want to get my hands wet now. The shoot went great, I got some of the shots I really wanted to get. Brenda liked them so much, since she has changed for the better in the past few years since her wedding, that she wants to give some of these prints to her parents. Then it dawned on me, that there may be other brides that would really love to have that dream-shoot in her wedding dress that she did not get to have during all of the chaos and stress on her wedding day. Plus, it gives them a chance to get out the wedding dress they may have never put on again. I thought, hey this is great! I should call it Re-Bride! Ok so maybe I won’t call it that but it was funny to say out loud anyway. If you know of anyone that would be interested in a bridal model shoot, it’s $60 for one hour of whatever you can dream up. All photo shoots come with artistic enhancement and touch up of photos.
Here are a select few of the shots I got last week with Brenda during her model shoot, and a shot of my daughter who tagged along and was playing in the grass and plants, having the time of her life.

A few weeks ago I was approached by Bissell (you know the company that makes vacuums and the pet spot bot carpet cleaning thing that I always wanted)… anyway, they held a nation-wide contest for a pet photo contest. A dog in Morris, NY won, and one of the prizes was to have a professional photo shoot and that dog would then be featured on a future Bissell pet cleaning product.
They searched the internet for a photographer within 30 miles of Morris and they chose me because of my pet photography. I had to send them other pics too of pet photo shoots besides what was on my site.

A representative from Bissell flew in from Grand Rapids Michigan yesterday to meet me and the dog and owner. The photo shoot was at my studio from 3:30-5:30pm. It went fantastic!! I found out, that my photo of the dog will be printed RIGHT on the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Hand Vacuum and shipped world-wide!

The winner of Bissell’s pet contest was a border collie mix named Kiely, and her owner Lillie Goodrich of Morris, NY. Lillie Goodrich is President & co-founder of Glen Highland Farm, a border collie rescue organization. Bisell donated $5,000 to Glen Highland Farm as part of prize package for winning the pet contest.
The Glen Highland Farm border collie rescue website is www.glenhighlandfarm.com.

Here are a few photos from the shoot.
